El galardonado genio Phineas Flynn (de 30 años) crea una versión más compacta, útil y perfeccionada máquina del tiempo a la que se encuentra en el museo. Su pequeña hija Marie, de 9 años se encarga de mirar entre los nuevos inventos de su padre fijándose en la curiosa máquina para jugar... ¿Podría ésta pequeña aventura en el tiempo de la niña poner en riesgo el futuro como lo conocemos y tal vez... su propio nacimiento?
